Irene was recommended to us by a friend/customer who benefitted from wearing the kyBoot. Irene has been to many doctors, orthopedists, nerve specialists, has tried Traditional Chinese Medicine, but no one and nothing could help her. She bought many shoes but none could relieve her pain. She walks with her back arched because she feels pain in her back & right foot; her right foot can’t land properly, and kind of slants to the side. She walks very slowly and it is painful just looking at her! Even after putting on kyBoot, she was afraid and dared not walk, due to the "imbalance" feeling. I had to hold her arm & encourage her to walk round the shop. She felt unsure. I lent her a pair of samples to use for the time being. I told her to wear kyBoot every day, slowly increase time of wearing. She appreciated our concern and hopes kyBoot can help her. Enclosed is an MRI report she sent me. I feel her pain and wish we could do something. Is there any advice that you could give her? Perhaps kyBoot cannot heal her of whatever medical condition she may have, but at least we could let her know how it can eliminate/relieve her pain or help in her walking. In Irene’s case, I would begin with the kyBounder, our soft, springy mat. Standing on the kyBounder strengthens her foot muscles even more than with the kyBoot. With the 3 exercises, www.kybun.ch/en/videothek/kybun-uebungen.html, she should relax her muscles in between exercises, if she begins to tire. She can hold onto a chair and concentrate on her foot position and weight distribution, which should be balanced out. The kyBoot can relieve her of much of her pain in her everyday. As the kyBoot sole is soft, the shocks from the floor get absorbed and this will give Irene a much better feeling when walking. It is a normal reaction that she is unsure in the kyBoot at the moment, because she is afraid of the pain that walking could cause. Once she finds the courage to put more and more weight on the right foot, and if this doesn’t hurt as much as usual, she will automatically begin to walk more naturally. As a result she will also have strengthened her deep stabilizing back muscles, which should relieve some, if not most of her back pain. After some weeks of walking regularly with the kyBoot, she should also feel much more secure because her stabilizing foot muscles will have gotten stronger. Standing on the kyBounder or walking in the kyBoot should never be more painful than what she experiences with her other shoes! After some weeks she should feel a noticeable improvement or rather pain reduction. Whenever Irene feels tired or unwell, she should take a short break until she feels ready for the kyBoot/kyBounder again.
